Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using BucketList.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using BucketList ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or a notice on the website.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use BucketList. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Your account

To access most features of BucketList, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Keep your password secure and confidential.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not share your account credentials with others or create accounts on behalf of other people without their permission.

4. User-generated content

You retain ownership of the content you create and share on BucketList ("Your Content"). By posting content on the Service, you grant BucketList a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You agree not to post content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory.
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Contains spam, unsolicited advertising, or malware.
  • Impersonates any person or entity.
  • Violates the privacy or rights of others.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, without prior notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems.
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service without written permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
  • Use the Service to harass, bully, or harm other users.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions.

6. Subscriptions and payments

BucketList offers a free tier and paid subscription plans ("Pro" and "Team"). Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account settings.
  • We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by law.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice.

7. Intellectual property

BucketList and its original content (excluding Your Content), features, and functionality are owned by BucketList and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users or to the Service.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BucketList shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which BucketList is registered. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also benefit from mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
